Hello! I am a filmmaker and cinematographer from Berkeley, California, based in the Bay Area and Berlin.

 

I first started practicing photography and filmmaking when I was 15 years old, and my approach to learning still comes from a place of curiosity, and an interest in experimentation.

I have always been fascinated by the technical side of my craft, but I find now my artistic style centers completely around people, and the emotional understanding of the story you are telling within an image. 

This balance of technique and emotion has come to define my image-making process, and helped me realize the importance of a strong connection with the subject in front of the camera, as well as with the people I work with behind the camera.

I graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies. I studied for a year at the Prague Film School, where I specialized in Cinematography.
